My early career developed in rural Sussex where I started off with modest house extensions & new build properties. Moving onto commercial house building the work was varied, and gave me a good skill set to build upon when I moved to the West Midlands.
Here I diversified my experience to commercial large scale developments schemes such as the Etruria Office village, shopping / cinema complexes, supermarkets, as well as developing my skills with domestic developments.
This path has lead me to the creation of my own Practice which I set up in 2010. Here I have concentrated on commercial premises, as well as domestic new builds and extensions along with interior alterations.
I have also expanded my expertise with my work with The West Midlands Constructing for Excellence program (WMCEE) as the Sustainability Co-ordinator. It has always been a great passion of mine. This enabled me to introduce new concepts and innovative building techniques and ideas to other construction professionals in the industry. Creating an online forum to discuss building topics of local and current interest, as well as on the innovative ideas that have been recently put forward.
I have worked in Birmingham and the surrounding areas over the past decade, specialising in listed buildings and conservation work for the past 10 years though I have worked on a wide variety of projects.
Working on residential and commercial projects alike, ranging from modest house extensions to large multimillion pound commercial projects, including bespoke new build residential sites, hotels and hotel refurbishments.
I have gained vast experience at securing best value for projects including commercial development sites, bespoke new build residential sites and commercial retail outlets, along with an environmental aptitude.
I have been involved in many high profile projects during my career including the common wealth games development in Manchester and the redevelopment of the Kingston Cinema complex.
This wide experience has necessitated an in depth understanding of the planning system, allowing me to secure planning permission for a variety of developments.
